Recently, I took my mother for a walk in the Western Sydney Parklands.
We went in the morning of what was quite a cold day, and my valiant mother braved the wind and soggy grass to tramp through a field with me on a wild quest to find mulberries.
She then watched in horror as I led her into a bush and requested she stand below and watch me scale a tree. She was not impressed.
Though, in the end, it wasn’t so bad.
Our morning featured a kangaroo mother and child duo, a path scattered with worms of all sizes, and a visit from a gorgeous butterfly.
And with wintery views like this, and a hot chocolate awaiting us at home, one cannot really complain!
