Perth’s Christmas Lights Trail

24th – 26th November, 2019

To celebrate Christmas, the city of Perth literally lights up.

Along the city streets, signs marked the pathway along the Christmas Lights Trail, which traced through the streets and parks of Perth and was wonderful to visit both during the day and at night.

One of my personal favourite installations was these gorgeous kangaroos outside the Perth council buildings:

By night, these gorgeous golden kangaroos illuminate, and they are quite a sight to see!

Right across the road, Saint George’s Anglican Cathedral serves as a backdrop for an audiovisual display which brightens the street with colour and music:

Even Elizabeth Quay lights up for the Christmas trail. This beautiful reindeer installation was stunning both pre- and post-sunset, and was a popular stop for photographs and gazing.

For more information about Perth’s beautiful Christmas Lights Trail, and to find out where to see the lights or to download a map of the trail, you can visit the Visit Perth or Experience Perth sites.
