5th to 6th September, 2019
Over the long weekend, I joined my parents on a little trip down the coast for a bit of relaxation and rejuvenation, mostly achieved by the mere fact that I was away from people and close to the ocean.
On the way down, we stopped at the Blue Goose in Gerringong for some much-needed coffee and food. The Blue Goose gods blessed us, as they always do, with a good feed and good coffee, and we set off once more quite content.
When we did reach our destination, in the Shoalhaven area, my body relaxed.
Our first stop on our wanderings around the area was the the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum. The museum was running a one-day Twilight Market, and hey, this was not a bad spot for it:
Not bad at all!
Later that afternoon, we found a nice little bar by the water in nearby Huskisson and sipped on coffee while enjoying the sunshine and the view. Once again, no complaints with the beautiful aesthetic!
The next morning, we decided to take a walk down the coast from Plantation Point. While it was a little grey, the air was fairly warm, and I felt myself unwind and relax even further.
Come Sunday afternoon, I really didn’t want to leave – after spending two days unwinding by the water, it was hard to come back to reality and back to work!
